We had such a lovely stay at Corton Lodge. The space is full of charm—from the beautiful 1913 woodwork to the vaulted ceilings and thoughtful touches throughout. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked, we loved the cozy loft. We especially enjoyed the peaceful river access and nearby trails. My family occupied both sides of the Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the surroundings are beautiful and well kept. The river access for swimming or kayaking are great and the privacy the grounds are very private
Had an amazing Saturday at Corton Lodge! We enjoyed playing in the River, sitting around the fire pit, and spending time with friends. The Corton Lodge combines rich history with all the modern amenities you need to enjoy nature. This is a perfect place for a wedding, event, or just a quiet weekend with the family. We will definitely be booking again!
The Corton Lodge is a treasure nestled between the mighty Elk River and the majestic hills of Clendenin, WV. We hosted our son and his fiancés wedding shower at the lodge and could not be more pleased! The accommodations were simply beautiful. Ryan and Amie have taken such care to preserve the historical beauty of the original church building, while making it so welcoming with the well-appointed suites. The beds and linens were high quality and the appliances were top of the line. The grounds were well maintained and welcoming for our outdoor event. The fire pit, swings, picnic tables and the wrap around porch made it perfect for hosting. Most of all, Ryan and Amie and their staff were so accommodating and kind. They are investing themselves into making sure The Corton Lodge is a special place for making lifelong memories.
Myself and 7 members of my girl tribe rented the entire facility for the weekend! It was awesome! The owner responded in a timely with all the information and questions we had. It was clean and met our needs! We were there to do Rail Explorers which was a great experience in itself, attended a festival in Clendenin, danced with the mayor and met the owner's Aunt Annie! We will be returning!! Thank you!
Corton Lodge was absolutely darling! It was perfect for a girls weekend! So many special details to preserve history in that 1913 church. Ryan was very attentive and checked on us several times during our visit! We have already started planning our next trip!
What a wonderful and peaceful setting. We were in town to visit my brother and the Corton Lodge is just a few miles from him. It was full of nice little touches like pods for the Keurig and a basket of bottled water and snacks. The books sharing the history of the lodge and the surrounding community were fun to read while enjoying our coffee outside in the cool morning air. The beds were comfy and all of the furnishings were really nice. Ryan was a great host and responded timely to any questions we had. If you are coming to the area don’t miss a stay here.
